Pink in the Rink 2011

"Pink in the Rink" is coming again soon...and there's something new associated with it this year. During their home games at the Century Tel Center next Thursday the 24th and Saturday the 26th, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will be donning their specially-designed pink jerseys...and skating on pink ice...in support of breast cancer awareness. And they encourage everyone who plans to attend those games to wear their pink, as well. As a first this year, a "Bugs 4 Jugs" 5k walk will take place Saturday morning at 10 in the Century Tel parking lot. You can register for that the day of the event...for $30. Late registration begins at 8:30 a.m. This is all in support of our local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
