Physical Therapists Begin Post-Graduate Training at LSU Health-Shreveport

Three recent Doctor of Physical Therapy graduates have started residency programs at LSU Health Shreveport's School of Allied Health Professions.  

They're hoping the additional year of training in orthopedics and wound care will help them specialize in their clinical practices.

Shown in the photo, from left to right, are Dr. Katie Poisel, Dr. Anthony Celio, and Dr. Paul Murphy.

Dr. Poisel is from the University of Evansville.  She and Dr. Celio, from LSU Health Shreveport, began the orthopedic physical therapy program.  Dr. Murphy, from the Medical University of South Carolina, is enrolled in the wound management program.  LSUHSC-Shreveport says this is the first credentialed program of its kind in the U.S.
