Parkway High Students Pick Romney in Mock Election
Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney beats President Barack Obama in a landslide in a Parkway High School mock election.
Students held conventions campaign speeches and protests before casting votes in this process which has been going on at Parkway for many years. The two candidates even had their own Secret Service security officers assigned to guard them.
In a unique effort to simulate our country's Electoral College, classes are handled like states. Each class voted as a group after voting took place among those students. During the process, the popular vote was announced for each class and then the state's Electoral College votes were counted.
The final results give Romney 418 to 120 electoral votes for Obama.
