First responders in the Bossier area will be getting some training on Tuesday, Oct 25, as Bossier Parish hosts a Parish-wide disaster drill that will involve multiple locations and agencies. The drill will take place from 8:00 AM until Noon.

This drill is being conducted under the direction of the Bossier Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and will involve many emergency response vehicles, role players, hospitals, and other assets, all working together to enhance our emergency preparedness.

Citizens should note that the drill will take place parish wide with heightened activities at:

· CenturyLink Center
· Bossier Civic Center
· Louisiana National Guard Armory off Swan Lake Road
· Benton Town Hall

Elements of the drill will involve simulated gunfire, smoke along with heavy response from law enforcement, fire and emergency medical personnel.

The public is advised not to be alarmed and that the activity is only a drill. The drill will also involve simulated lock-downs at all schools in Bossier Parish.
