There's a big parade in Haughton tomorrow...for a very important cause. Members of STAR Touring and Riding Association are holding the parade, which begins at 9:45 tomorrow morning at the Central Assembly of God Church on Highway 80. That's where Feed the Children's semi tractor-trailer loaded with food and essentials will meet STAR members. At 10:30 at First Baptist Church of Haughton, those items will be handed out to 400 pre-selected families in the area. Each family will receive a 25-pound box of food and 10-pound box of personal care items. The boxes are designed to help a family of four for up to one week. For statistical purposes, one in six Haughton children is considered impoverished. The number state-wide -- at more than 292,000 -- could fill Independence Stadium more than five times.
