Seven of the eight Shreveport mayoral candidates have confirmed their attendance at the PACE 2018 Shreveport Mayoral Forum to be held Sunday, August 19th, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Deaf Action Center (601 Jordan Street). Anna Marie Arpino, Tremecius Dixon, Steven Jackson, Adrian Perkins, Jeron Rogers, Lee O. Savage, and Ollie S. Tyler will all be participating in a “Question and Answer” session open to the public.  Jim Taliaferro has a prior commitment.

Shreveport native and University of California Haas School of Business faculty member Dr. Clayton Critcher will moderate the forum.

PACE (People Acting for Change and Equality) is a nonpartisan organization that works to advance equality in Northwest Louisiana so that the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community can lead open, honest, responsible, and safe lives at home and in the workplace. According to their news release, they "believe that the most effective way to achieve these goals is to educate our communities and to constructively participate in the political process."  PACE previously conducted mayoral forums in 2006, 2010, and 2014.

A reception will follow the Q & A.  PACE will not be endorsing any candidate, but will "simply make the views of each candidate known" to its members.
