A local business owner is arrested for allegedly stealing funds that were owed to customers.

Bossier City police say 54-year-old Thomas Salley of Sarepta turned himself in after detectives with the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force got a warrant for his arrest.

An investigation found that Salley stole nearly $20,000 in refunds that were owed to two separate customers who attempted to buy mobile homes last year from his business, Legacy Homes in the 3500 block of East Texas Street. He was booked into the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility on felony theft charges.

Detectives continue their investigation, and are asking anyone who has had similar experiences with Salley to contact the task force at (318) 741-8720.
