A shooting in west Shreveport overnight leaves a local man with gunshot wounds -- and his assailant on the run. Just after 12:30 this morning, Shreveport patrol officers arrived at a reported shooting at the intersection of Hearne and Corbitt to find 29-year-old Alonzo McKinney suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was taken to LSU Hospital with what are described as serious wounds. Detectives have learned that McKinney was driving a vehicle northbound on Hearne, when another car pulled up beside him and at least one of the occupants fired multiple shots at him. Investigators have interviewed several witnesses, but at this point, the suspects are described only as two black males. Anyone with information that can help in this investigation is urged to call Shreveport detectives or Crime Stoppers.
