    This weekend marks 34 years of Artbreak in Shreveport! Head to the Shreveport Convention center Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the largest annual student arts festival in the south. Click the link for the schedule of events.

    Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors BBQ Cook-off

    This Saturday, join the Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors for the 6th Annual Grillin' for Grads BBQ Cook-Off in Shreveport's Festival Plaza. Gates open at 12pm with the best BBQ around, live music, vendors, a children's play area and even a mechanical bull! Proceeds from the event fund the Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors’ College Scholarship Essay Contest for Ark-LA-Tex high school seniors.

    Run with the Nuns XI

    This may be the most unique event in all of northwest Louisiana! Where else can you see a nun on the back of a motorcycle? Head to Silver Star in Bossier starting at 7:30am Saturday morning for breakfast followed by the blessing of the bikers at 9am. The guided ride begins at 9:30am and the BBQ lunch will be served at 11:30am. The silent auction runs from 11am-1pm and the split the pot drawing will be awarded at 1pm. This Christus Health event benefits local children through the 17 Children's Miracle Network Hospital programs offered here in our area.

    Bossier City Battle of the Badges

    Head to the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome Saturday night for the Bossier City Battle of the Badges! The event will feature 15 bouts, including one between two women! Doors open at 6pm with fights starting at 7pm, all hosted by the one and only Gary McCoy. This is a 21+ event. All proceeds go to the Bossier City Firefighters Association Benevolent, Education and General Fund as well as First Chance.
