Oscar Nominations Announced

“The Revenant” and “Mad Max: Fury Road” are the leading nominees, according to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, picking up Oscar nominations for best picture and best director.

Six others join them as best picture nominees: “Bridge of Spies,” “Spotlight,” “The Big Short,” “The Martian,” “Brooklyn” and “Room.”

“The Revenant,” directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and starring Leonardo DiCaprio topped with 12 nominations. "Mad Max:Fury Road" was second with ten.
