Organ Donor Families to Meet in Minden

The Louisiana families of two organ donors will be on hand tomorrow morning at 10:00am for a special event at Minden Medical Center.  They'll be displaying their loved ones' 2013 Rose Parade floragraphs (flower-shrouded photographs) which will join the floragraphs of 70 other eye, tissue, and organ donors from around the country on this year's Donate Life float in the big parade.  Eye and tissue donor David Fox is a Minden native who was in El Dorado, AR, at the time his organs were harvested.  Organ donor Ryan Viator is from Lafayette, LA.  Their families will be joined by representatives of the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, Minden Medical Center, and the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency to bring attention to the need for more organ donors.
