The first Operation T-BONE (Take Back Our Neighborhoods Everyday) of 2015 will focus on City Council District B. That covers the areas from I-49 and I-20 to Gilbert and Kings Highway to Market Street.

Officials with the Property Standards, Community Development and Public Works Departments, along with Shreveport police, will start the sweep at 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, at 520 Olive Street. They'll be joined this time by Animal Control, Water & Sewage and the Metropolitan Planning Commission, looking for property standards violations.

Trash bins will be set up for residents to discard tires, bulky items and debris. Those unable to bring tires to the site can arrange for a special pick-up by calling 673-6204 or 455-6065.

This is part of Shreveport's efforts to remove blight and make neighborhoods safer and more attractive.
