If you're going to be on the water this weekend, you're going to have a lot of company -- with badges. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Law Enforcement Division plans to beef up patrols on the state's waterways this weekend. The agents will be looking for people operating boats while intoxicated and other boating safety issues. It's part of a national campaign called "Operation Dry Water." And both violations count toward determining whether a DWI or BWI is a first, second, or third offense. DWI and BWI convictions carry hefty fines and can include jail time.
