Shreveport police are investigating a shooting in west Shreveport that left one woman dead and two others wounded.

Detectives say 36-year-old Verdina Crichlow was shot and killed shortly after 5:30 last night following a shooting inside an apartment at Woodlawn Terrace in the 700 block of Central Street.

Crichlow and 43-year-old Tammy Harris, along with a 15-year-old female, all suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Harris was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at University Health, while Crichlow and the juvenile continue to recover from their wounds.

Shreveport police are working to identify and catch the man responsible. A preliminary investigation suggests the man arrived at the apartment and began firing shots at the victims. He ran off after the shooting, and police continue to search for him.

Anyone with information that can help locate him is asked to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
