A morning shoot-out between two men leaves one of them in the hospital and the other in police custody.

Shreveport Police Sgt. Bill Goodin tells KEEL News that just before 9:30 this morning, there was some sort of argument between two men in the 400 block of Kennie Street. One man approached the home and when the resident realized he was armed, he drew his own weapon and fired at least one shot.

The suspect fired back, hitting the homeowner in the leg. The victim was taken to LSU Health Shreveport with a non-life-threatening wound. The suspect ran off, but was caught a short time later at a business on Linwood Avenue, about a block away.  He's in custody while detectives investigate exactly what happened. Two handguns believed to have been used in the incident have been seized.
