A Shreveport man's been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man during a dispute.

53-year-old David Barry has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of aggravated battery.  22-year-old Michael McClanahan is in the hospital recuperating from a knife wound.

It all started when police discovered a man suffering from what appeared to be a single stab wound to the lower body near the intersection of Walker Road and Mackey Lane. McClanahan was covered in blood and running when an officer spotted him.  He gave police his account of what had happened and, a short time later, officers detained Barry in the parking lot of a discount store at Walker and Mackey.  After questioning him, detectives were able to uncover additional information linking him to the crime and he was arrested.
