Here's the full news release from SPD:

At approximately 12:37 a.m. on December 26, 2014, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 100 block of Lake Street relative to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 16-year-old male in the parking lot on the northwest corner of Lake Street and Spring Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Other responding officers found another 16-year-old male in the parking lot of the Best Western Chateau Suite Hotel in the 200 block of Lake Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the posterior. An adult male was located in that same parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest. All three victims were transported to University Health by the Shreveport Fire Department. The two teens are recovering from what have been described as non-life-threatening injuries while the adult male was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Detectives and crime scene investigators were immediately dispatched and, based upon information and evidence gathered during the early stages of their inquiry, believe the two juvenile victims were attending a Christmas party at the Holiday Inn in the 100 block of Lake Street prior to the shooting. According to initial witness statements, there was some sort of altercation between at least two groups of partygoers who were then asked to leave the venue. It was at that point that at least one of the persons involved in the dispute began firing shots in the parking lots across the street from the Holiday Inn.

At this point in their investigation, detectives do not believe the adult victim had any connection with the teens or the party at the Holiday Inn. His name is not being release at this time pending appropriate notifications. Authorities are working at this hour to identify and apprehend the person or persons responsible for this heinous crime. Anyone with any information regarding this shooting should immediately contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 orwww.lockemup.org
