Derek Redmond was the British record holder in the 400 meters and favorite to medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. But after taking the top spot in his first two heats, the speedy Brit tore his hamstring during his semifinals run and pulled up, unable to continue. But then, in one of the most memorable moment in Olympic history, Redmond's father came out of the stands and helped his hobbled son to the finish line!
