Officer Placed On Departmental Leave

According to a press release from Cpl Marcus Hines, spokesman for the Shreveport Police Department, an SPD officer has been placed on leave pending an investigation.

Interim Shreveport Police Chief Alan Crump has placed a police officer on departmental leave this afternoon following an allegation of possible policy violations.

Sergeant Kevin Strickland, hired by the department in August of 1995, was placed on paid departmental leave by Chief Crump pending an administrative investigation into the alleged policy violations.
