The North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy in Plain Dealing begins its next training class tomorrow.

Twenty-one recruits from six agencies will spend the next twelve weeks going through Peace Officers Standards Training to be certified as law enforcement officers.  They'll be trained in officer survival skills, academics, weapons qualification, physical fitness, chemical weapons, and a wide-range of other law enforcement topics.  This will be the academy's tenth class since it opened in 2009.

Agencies represented in this class are the Bossier and Webster Parish Sheriff's Offices; the Bossier City, Haynesville, and Stonewall Police Departments; and the Office of Juvenile Justice.
