Barely two months after wowing a sellout Shreveport crowd at The Times Sports Awards, New Orleans native and future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning shined as emcee at ESPN's annual ESPY awards, honoring the year's top sports performances.

The event, as renowned for its roast-like barbs aimed at the rich and famous as it is for hailing them, Manning held nothing back as he took humorous aim at the biggest stars in sports. But the New Orleans native saved some of the evening's sharpest jokes in a skit making fun of his own retirement, painting the 41-year-old QB as a man whose lifestyle far exceeds his age.
