Lock your doors, kids… Louisiana recently ranked one of the most dangerous states in the country. Not only does the Creole State come with its fair share of murderers, sex offenders and natural disasters, but also apparently, its residents are terrible drivers without health insurance.

The latest report from WalletHub.com found Louisiana to be the 10th least safe city to call home, in between South Carolina and Mississippi, due to a number of statistical indiscretions that were explored in its 2014 Safest States to Live In study.

Overall, Louisiana ranked the 42nd safest city in the nation, while earning a rank of 44 for financial safety; 37 in driving safety; 46 in workplace safety; 33 in natural disasters; and 34 in home and community safety.
