New Episcopal Bishop to be Ordained

ents are planned today and tomorrow to mark the end of the tenure of one Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana and the beginning of the tenure of his successor. At four this afternoon, the Right Reverend D-Bruce MacPherson will be honored at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with a service of evening prayer and a reception. He's been Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana for the past ten years and reaches mandatory retirement age next Tuesday. Tomorrow morning at ten, the Very Reverend Dr. Jacob Owensby will be ordained and consecrated as the fourth Bishop of the Diocese. He's been the Dean of St. Mark's since coming to Shreveport.
