One young man is cleared and a teenager faces charges now that new evidence has emerged in a residential burglary in south Shreveport.

On July 5, 2014, Shreveport police were called to a burglary in progress at a home in the 11000 block of Longfellow Circle. Following their initial investigation, detectives charged 21-year-old Tylor Toney in the incident.

Earlier this week, investigators got new information suggesting another man was possibly responsible for the crime. Detectives have charged 18-year-old Colin Driscoll with the Longfellow burglary. He's also charged with attempted simple burglary, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and simple criminal property damage for his alleged role in similar crimes.

Though the Longfellow burglary charge has been withdrawn against Toney, he remains in jail for his role in at least one other residential burglary committed in the Haven subdivision in south Shreveport.
