New Bill Aims To Protect Domestic Violence Victims
A new bill that is headed to the House floor would allow victims of domestic violence to get a temporary concealed carry permit. The permit would allow the victim to carry a gun legally for 45 days after a legal order is issued. The bill passed the House Committee on Criminal Justice unanimously on Tuesday.
The bill is gaining a lot of support for various groups including the Louisiana Sheriff's Association. The bill is heading to the house floor and could be voted on in coming days.
