Bossier City Police Chief Shane McWilliams administered oaths to the department’s newest members during a ceremony this morning in the Bossier City Council Chambers, 620 Benton Road.

Those taking oaths this morning and receiving their badges were Police Officers Ryan Hutchings, Matthew Taylor, Zachary Taylor, and Ryan Wolf and Jailer Jeffrey Loftin. Each underwent training at the Bossier Sheriff’s North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy. Their instruction will continue with a 4-week long departmental training program to learn the policies and procedures of the Bossier City Police Department.

Following their departmental training, the officers will spend three months riding patrol with Field Training Officers before being assigned to the patrol division. Jailer Loftin will be assigned to the jail upon completing his 4-week departmental training.
