Nest Fest 2012

Bossier Civic Center, Saturday, August 4, 2012 is where you will want to be for the third annual Nest Fest Fundraiser and PARTY! Purchase your tickets at The Village Washstand, St Paul’s Gift Shop or online at www.laurensnestegg.com. Enjoy great music by WINDSTORM with an opening by Moseley’s Movements. Dance the night away and see old and new friends while dining on great food provided by Good Eats.

Auction Preview Party begins at 5:30 pm with music provided by Grant Nuckolls, Danny Wilder and friends. The silent and live auctions will begin at 7:00 pm. The money raised at Nest Fest goes towards helping other overcome homelessness successfully.

Some of the auction items include jewelry, art, extensive children’s boutique items, sports items, and autograph collectibles. Some of the autograph collectible include a signed Jimmy Buffett guitar, signed Mohammed Ali/LeRoy Neiman lithograph, and items signed by Taylor Swift, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

Some of the trips this year include London, Disney World, New York, a fishing trip anywhere in North America, a trip to the Wine country in the Sonoma Valley and a sports package.

Nest Fest is a fundraiser benefit for Lauren’s Nest Egg founded by Jay and Susan Colvin in memory of their daughter Lauren Leigh Colvin. Lauren had a desire to help others and she had a passion for fun thus Nest Fest was born. Nest Fest is the primary funding resource for The Renesting Project, and they have made donations to The Fuller Center, VOA VA Program, Hope House, Habitat for Humanity, Providence House and many others including Habitat projects in Baton Rouge.
