Neighborhood Watch, K-9 Officer Aid in Capture of Two Burglars
Two suspected burglars are in jail…thanks to a Neighborhood Watch — and a K-9 officer. Witnesses called police, saying they saw two men loading up items from a Bienville Avenue home into their car.
Officers located the vehicle at the intersection of Prentiss and Conmar, and stopped it. But the two men inside took off running in separate directions. Police brought in K-9 “Mico” — and shortly after, located both men.
They say 24-year-old Victor Johnson and 26-year-old Roderick Vinson were treated for minor injuries they suffered while running from officers, then booked on burglary, theft and trespassing charges.
Detectives say not even half-an-hour after the burglary, Johnson had already allegedly pawned a stolen TV.
