A popular crime-fighting program heads for another Shreveport neighborhood. The Shreveport Police Department takes its door-to-door crime-fighting initiative to the Waterside neighborhood tomorrow evening. Police Chief Willie Shaw will gather with Community Liaison Officers, Neighborhood Assistance Team members, and other city officials at five tomorrow afternoon in the parking lot of the Querbes Park Community Center. After a brief roll call, they'll fan out through the neighborhood, on foot, going door to door to visit with area residents about crime and quality of life issues. If all goes according to plans, they plan to visit more than 250 homes.
