Time to start cleaning out the old medicine cabinet.  This Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day -- a day when you can safely dispose of those expired, unused, and unwanted medications, whether prescription or over-the-counter.

Once again, the Caddo Sheriff's Office and Shreveport Police Department will be collecting your meds at Sheriff's Safety Town between ten and two this Saturday.  State Police will be doing the same at Troop-G Headquarters in Bossier City.  You can also turn in your meds at the Greenwood Police Department and the Barksdale Base Exchange.  They won't accept pot or meth -- nor will they accept intra-venous solutions, injectables, and syringes.  Pretty much everything else is fair game.  You are asked to remove labels and other identifying personal information from prescription medicine containers.
