Members of the National Commission on the Structure of the Air Force will be visiting the base next Tuesday, October first, and holding a public hearing.

The commission is mandated by Congress to do a comprehensive study of the Air Force and its three components -- active duty, Reserve, and Guard.  The idea is to determine if and how the Air Force's structure should be modified to meet current and future mission requirements with available resources.  Then it's to submit a report to The President and Congress on February first.  Commission members will spend the morning visiting the base and then hold a public hearing that afternoon at the Bossier Civic Center from one until five.
