Natchitoches Inmate Escapes from Correctional Officers

Natchitoches Parish sheriff's deputies are looking for an escaped inmate.

Deputies tell KSLA-TV in Shreveport that 26-year-old Kenneth Dewayne Hardy, Jr., escaped from correctional officers at around 8:15 this morning while being escorted to state court for a criminal proceeding.

Hardy is about 5'7" tall and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was being held on narcotics charges, being a felon in possession of a firearm, obstructing justice and introducing contraband into a penal institution. He was scheduled to enter a plea on those charges today.
