Natchitoches Christmas Festival is Saturday

The lights came on in Natchitoches on November 19th -- but the city really comes to life this Saturday with the annual Christmas Festival. Tony Davis, with the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce, says it's an event that's been around for a long, long time...this will be its 85th year. The normal population of Natchitoches is about 19-thousand, but Davis says that number will jump to about 100-thousand for the festival. Activities begin early Saturday Morning and continue throughout the day and into the night. Then, come Monday Morning, the planning for next year's festival begins.
