After nine and a half years, and three billion miles traveled, NASA's "New Horizon" mission reached Pluto on June 14.  The spacecraft, packed with the latest scientific observation equipment, arrived at the dwarf planet, and started sending back the clearest images ever taken of the little guy.

One of the most prominent features of Pluto is the giant heart shape on its surface. It is being observed clearly and in real time for the first time since the tiny planet's discovery in 1930.

NASA's WEBSITE outlines the entire mission and sends 24-hour live updates.  If you are a "space-geek," you should definitely check it out HERE.
