Musical Headliners Announced for 2015 Red River Revel
There’s a long list of musical entertainment for the 40th Annual Red River Revel Arts Festival.
The group includes rising stars, popular favorites and breakout artists. The headliners are Louisiana’s LeRoux, Cowboy Mouth, Black Water Bride, BE THE CHANGE TOUR ft. OBB, Shinebright, All Things New, FLY Dance Company, Big Bang Boom!, Big Daddy Weave Fall 2015 Tour ft. Jason Gray and Citizen Way, Moon Taxi, Louisiana Swamp Donky, Logan Mize, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Windstorm Band, Robert Earl Keen, Cody Cooke & the Bayou Outlaws and Dirtfoot.
The event kicks off with the annual Red River Revel Run 5K/15K at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 3. The festival runs through October 10, and you can enjoy performers on four stages, 108 artist booths, 23 food booths and more. Admission is $5 on weekends, free Monday, and $5 after 5:30 p.m. on weekdays.
Primary sponsors this year are the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, CHASE, City of Shreveport, Pepsi Beverages Company, Ford Motor Company and The Alta & John Franks Foundation.
Performing on the Eldorado Discovery Stage: Will Maranto & the Usual Suspects, Professor Porkchop & the Dirty Dishes, the Power to the People People’s Choice LA Music Prize Showcase, Jared Mourad Band, The Matthew Davidson Band, AJ & the Two Tone Blues Band, Identity Crisis, Lane Rodgers, Landry & Company, The Bluebirds, Dirty Redd & Co., Ambush, Hwy Lions, Irene & the Sleepers, The Boomers, Julieann Banks, Kelly Hobson Band, Backroad Anthem, Josh Hyde & the Hitchhikers, Dana Louise & the Glorious Birds, West Without, and The Dragstrip Phantoms.
John and Karen Keane, Big Bang Boom!®, Jill’s Gymnastics, and students from the Bossier Talented Arts Program will entertain at the AEP Swepco Family Stage. Boocoos the Clown and Spinner Entertainment’s performers will strut around Festival Plaza entertaining crowds with versatile and diverse street performances throughout Revel 40.
The Red River Revel Arts Festival has received a lot of accolades over the years. It was ranked one of the Top 10 Events in Louisiana by Top Events USA, a Top 100 Fine Arts Festival in the United States by Sunshine Artist Magazine, an official AAA Southern Traveler “Travel Treasure,” and a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society.
