Shreveport-based Music Mountain Water is expanding. The company has announced that it's making a $9-million investment in building a 200-thousand square foot injection molding plant. Once it's finished, that plant will allow the company to make its own one-gallon plastic jugs right here in Shreveport instead of importing them from Fort Worth as it does today. Governor Jindal says the investment will create 25 new direct jobs and 82 indirect jobs. Music Mountain CEO Marcus Wren says having its own injection molding plant will enable the company to remain competitive in the bottled water market.
