Multiple wrecks in Shreveport this morning sent several people to the hospital -- and kept traffic tied up for a while. Just after 6 o'clock, an 18-wheeler carrying lumber tipped over on the entrance ramp from I-20 onto 3132 East, spilling the lumber onto the roadway. Police officers had to divert traffic from 3132 to I-20 West. The truck's driver was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. Just after 9:30, another 18-wheeler and at least one other vehicle got into a wreck on I-220 West, just west of the Jefferson Paige Road exit. One person is confirmed to have been taken to LSU Hospital. Just before 10, there was a three-vehicle wreck in that same location, and at least one person was taken to LSU with serious injuries. And at 10:45, a two-vehicle crash on I-220 east at the South Lakeshore Drive exit tied up traffic, but no one is reported injured. We'll bring you more details on traffic issues as they become available.
