Mudbugs Hockey Season Openers Thursday, Saturday Nights

Shreveport Mudbugs General Manager Scott Muscutt talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the team's season opening weekend games against Corpus Christi.

The Robertson Cup winning Mudbugs open the defense of their title Thursday night (Sept. 13) with a 7:11pm faceoff against the Ice Rays. The two squads - playoff rivals from the past two seasons - will go at it again Saturday (Sept. 15th) night. Both games will be played at George's Pond at Hirsch Coliseum at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.

Muscutt emphasizes the team's priorities are, as always, the fans. "Mudbugs hockey is a branch of the community. We want every child to come and say, "It's a big playground and I can't wait to go back!" We want every woman to come in and say, "It's clean and it's safe and it's exactly where I want my family to be!" And we every man to say, "This is the biggest man cave I've ever been in!"
