Rob plans to spend about $50,000 to give the park at Stoner and the Parkway a facelift.  After the work is complete, we could see MTV crews shooting footage here for Rob's show.  A little background on Dyrdek: he is a superstar in the international skateboarding world. At the age of 12, he became the youngest member of G&S skateboard team and turned pro just four years later when he joined the legendary Alien Workshop Team. Along the way, his street skills drew the attention of the higher ups at Droors Clothing, now known as DC Shoes, which landed him a spot on the DC team in 1995.  Since then, Rob has designed signature products, including the first-ever skateboard/athletic shoe, the Dyrdek1, and brought the brand the recognition it enjoys today. In addition to DC Shoes, Rob is also affiliated with the likes of Alien Workshop, Reflex bearings, Silver trucks and Red Bull energy drinks, and he also has signature sunglasses made by Spy Optical. When he's not competing or designing, Rob spends time giving back to the skateboard community. He spearheaded the first private indoor skate park in San Diego, and has provided legal skateboarding areas for over 10 million U.S. street skaters through the Rob Dyrdek/DC Shoes Skate Plaza Foundation. Earlier this year, he began shooting Street Dreams, a feature length film he co-wrote, will star in and executive produce. Originally hailing from Kettering, Ohio, Rob now lives in Hollywood Hills, Calif., with his best friend/bodyguard Big Black. Their comical "odd couple" relationship should be a TV show -- and that's where we come in. Rob Dyrdek is a superstar in the international skateboarding world.
