MPC Board Chairman Questions City Council Motives [VIDEO]
Theron Jackson, Metropolitan Planning Commission Board Chairman, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL’s Robert and Erin about the 5-1 Shreveport City Council vote to look into ending the city’s association with the MPC.
On Tuesday, the City Council, voting on a motion by Councilman James Flurry, voted to ask the city attorney give his opinion on the city’s cutting ties with the Commission, which serves both Shreveport and Caddo Parish. Jackson responds to the question – and accusation by some – that the council’s move amounts to nothing more than a power grab.
