Mother's Day is May 12th this year, giving you 10 days from now to figure out what to give the mothers in your life for this holiday.

Mother's Day officially became a national holiday in 1914, according to History.  It was first introduced by Anna Jarvis in 1908.

After Mother's Day was put on the calendar, Jarvis, who was a major supporter of creating the holiday, came to despise the holiday for it becoming commercialized, going as far as trying to get it taken off the calendar.

Her efforts were fruitless and today, every second Sunday in May, we celebrate all the mothers in our lives.
