Crews with Bossier Parish Fire District 1 and the Haughton Fire Department were busy this morning.

A call came in just after 6:30AM about a fire at an unoccupied office building for the East Highland Mobile Home Park on Ferndale Boulevard.

The building was fully-engulfed when crews arrived. They had the fire under control by 7:15. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but neighbors believe it may have been due to a lightning strike. They reported hearing a loud noise just before the structure went up in flames. The office building was used for several other area businesses, including construction companies and a waterworks company.

The adjacent mobile home was slightly damaged. No one was injured. Bossier sheriff's deputies controlled traffic during the busy morning flow on Highway 80.
