Another 450 Shreveport area kids will be learning to swim this summer thanks to a generous donation to "Project Swim." Mayor Cedric Glover says the overall objective of the program -- since day one -- has been to keep the lessons free. Nearly 11-hundred kids went through the program last year and now, with an additional donation from the family that owns downtown Shreveport's Regions Bank building, about 900 will get swimming lessons this year. Enrollment is being handled by Rock Solid Sports, whose office is inside the Calvary Baptist Church gym on Linwood Avenue.
