SHREVEPORT, LA (Nov. 17, 2014) - Shreve Memorial Library today announced public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music albums and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with Hoopla Digital (hoopladigital.com).

Shreve Memorial Library card holders can download the free Hoopla Digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles - from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers - available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets, computers and Apple TV.

“Our mission is helping residents of Caddo Parish to reach their full potential. One of the ways we accomplish that is by informing, educating and entertaining our patrons,” said Jennie Paxton, Assistant Director of Support Services at Shreve Memorial Library. “With technological innovations such as Hoopla Digital, we have a greater ability to fulfill that mission by offering a wide range of content in a convenient and accessible way. Patrons only need their library card to stay connected and can access this content via the hoopla app or web site - free of charge. It’s also digital, so there is no waiting period for popular titles and the service’s automatic return means no late fees.”

Shreve Memorial Library is one of thirteen libraries in the state of Louisiana to partner with Hoopla Digital. Current partners include New Orleans Public Library, Jefferson Parish Library, St. Charles Parish Library, Lafourche Parish Public Library and others.

“With Hoopla Digital, it is our mission to help public libraries meet the needs of the mobile generation. We’ve worked for years to create a best-in-breed service that is fun, fast and reliable. And we continue to secure content deals to expand the offering of movies, TV shows and audiobooks,” said Jeff Jankowski founder and owner of Hoopla Digital.
