Monroe Father Partied at Suga Shack, Left Child Outside in Car

A child should not be in a nightclub. However, it's not too much better for a child to be left in a car outside a nightclub. That's what happened over the weekend outside the Suga Shack nightclub in West Monroe, La.

Labarron Spivey was inside the watering hole when a Ouachita Parish Sheriff's deputy saw Spivey's six-year-old child sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle.

The disc jockey in the Suga Shack made repeated announcements for the boy's father to return to the vehicle. After 30 minutes, Spivey left the bar and was arrested.

Spivey was charged with child desertion. The child was released to a family member.
