While Bossier Parish students are on Fall Break, a parish-wide mock emergency drill will be held at Bossier High School Friday, October 10.

Residents will see a large number of emergency vehicles and personnel going to the school. But there's no need for alarm. Keep in mind, it's only a drill.

The Bossier Office of Homeland Security is conducting the exercise in conjunction with Bossier Schools and emergency responders throughout the parish. The drill is to enhance joint response and readiness procedures.

Bossier Parish Community College students will serve as actors, and simulated triage will take place on the school campus. Again, school will be closed and no students from Bossier High or Bossier Parish Public Schools will be involved.

If you have any questions about the drill, contact BOHSEP at (318) 425-5351.
