Missouri Wins Independence Bowl….But Truman The Tiger Has Egg On His Face

Missouri won the Independence Bowl over North Carolina with a very small crowd on hand because of the rain. But more than 40 thousand tickets were sold to the game, though many did not show up because of the daylong rain. The story we will all remember is that of Truman, the Tiger Mascot for Missouri. He dropped the crystal trophy during Fan Fest before the game. It shattered. Organizers had to quickly get a back up trophy made.
