Congressman Mike Johnson talks to 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about President Donald Trump's Friday trip to Lake Charles, a trip designed to promote Republican candidates in Saturday's election.

Johnson tells KEEL listeners that he'll be joining the President on Air Force One on the trip and will be part of the rally at Lake Charles' James E. Sudduth Coliseum.

The arena, which has a capacity of almost 7,500, had supporters arriving for Trump's 7pm appearance before sunrise, creating a tailgating-like atmosphere twelve hours before the pro-GOP rally.

Here are ground rules for the Trump visit from Townsquare Media station Gator 99.5 in Lake Charles:

"Even though the rally starts at 7:00pm, the doors will open at 4:00pm and you are advised to get there early because even though you may have a ticket, it doesn't guarantee you entry. It is first-come, first-served so get there early.

Get ready to go through security checkpoints before you enter the Lake Charles Civic Center. Here are things you can't bring into the rally:

Balloons, aerosols, alcohol, and bags that exceed 12”x14”x5”.
