Mexican National Admits to Immigration Violations

A 32-year-old Mexican national has pled guilty in Tyler federal court to being in the United States unlawfully after having been previously deported. 32-year-old Raul Campos Alegria was picked up in Smith County, Texas, back in December. It was learned that he had been previously deported following a drug trafficking conviction. He now faces up to twenty years in federal prison to be followed by deportation again. His sentencing date has not been set.
