Lisa Babin, Executive Director of Public Affairs for LSU Health in Shreveport, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert and Erin about the financial condition of the medical school and clarifies remarks made last week by Chancellor Dr. G.E. Ghali regarding the school's future.

Ghali had commented last week that because of belt tightening and budget cuts, the school may face a rocky road ahead, which could result in the closing of the trauma center at University Health.

Babin also addresses accusations that the Willis Knighton system is maneuvering to take control of the medical school and hospital, calling them "laughable"
